Winter has broken (I hope) and all is well with the world again, no more thoughts about upping sticks and moving to warmer climes. the buds are now almost breaking into blossom on the Cherry trees, and other signs that spring is on the way means I am now back on top form and the winter blues have passed. Last spring was a pretty miserable time with lots of rain, and next to no sunshine. So lets hope this year is nearer to normal, although we are not alone with the global warming sending the world weather into turmoil we never seem to know what to expect next. Still back on to other things now, our progress in “Our Italy” continues to expand at a greater rate than we could have hoped for. Although our first self contained apartment is still heading for completion, it will be a couple of weeks behind schedule from the planned end of March. The weather has been to icy and snowy for the supplies to be delivered for almost six weeks, so we are having to work much harder to try and catch up some of the lost time. So we are now taking bookings for the self catering apartment from the second week in April, this is of course in addition to our ongoing Bed and Breakfast which has kept us full and busy even through the winter months. Our guests have without exception been a pleasure to accommodate, and we hope that we have been of help to them for what ever they were here for, from exploring the region to searching for property. It has meant for us a rich mixture of all the great local people who have become our very good friends, and the many new friends we have made through our B&B this has given us a full and varied social life. I could write so much about our life here but it is always a case of trying to keep it short enough not to bore people, I am sure we must leave quite a bit of news out but there is always so much happening. Our family often ask “what do you find to do there” but life is full and complete, and what more can anyone ask for. I will end here as I have rambled on enough for one month, and also we are expecting “Pepe and family” down to start on our new vineyard soon, plus the phone has just gone and some more English people are on their way to us any time now.
